Let me tell you about Coltrain Hardware. First, it is owned by a person who lives and works for and in Ayden, NC. Mrs. Coltrain, yes, Coltrain's is owned and operated by a woman, like me. In my world, women owned businesses are not the norm and usually better than average. The store is neat and complete. I can pull right up to the front door and park. No more walks across a large parking lot before I even enter the store. I am greeted at the door by friendly staff who are happy to help me find what I need. There is a bit of everything and usually a solution for any home maintenance problem. Paint, hardware, power tools, gardening tools, a key machine (super important) and even honey and household items. The store is clean and neat. You can tell they care about it and it SHOWS. I pop in sometimes just to see what is new. Remember the Hardware store in your hometown? That is Coltrain's, but better. Mrs. Coltrain cares about every customer and will always make it right. Because none of us are perfect. But if I were going to shoot for perfection, I would be like Coltrain Hardware.
